Images used:
All images were used but stacked into 5 images by light phase.

Composition method:
The images were stacked by light phase of the day from daytime to astronomical twilight. This resulted in 5 images daytime, golden hour, blue hour, nautical twilight and astronomical twilight.

These stacked images were then composed by slicing at a 15º angle.

The actual sunset image was inserted to get a sharp sunset behind the mountains.

I also rather severely cropped the image as I had a rather large amount of sea in the foreground taking away focus from the main subject.
