This is my first attempt at a timescape of the cherry blossoms in the Rosengarten in Bern with the old town in the background. It turned out quite challenging given the footpath was blocked for construction and thus many people walked through the frame in front of the camera. For the timelapse I had to clean up all images which took me over a month of editing.

2026-03-24  16:23:23 to 19:22:50 (tz +0100) daytime to nautical twilight 🇨🇭

Nbr of Images taken: 746

Interval:
30 sec daytime, 9 sec from shortly before golden hour onwards

Images used:
6 images were used for the timescape

Composition method:
The key picture was at 18:32:17 when the sun set at the horizon. The other pictures were 45-30 min apart so the sun travelled about the same distance to allow for even slicing.
A red bus from 17:18:16 was inserted on the bridge.
Then the images were sliced and blended at a 60° angle and blended with a 256 pixel wide gradient in affinity studio.
